Dr. Edwin Liu
Dr. Liu received his Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in Psychobiology. After an additional 4 years of graduate study, in 1982 he received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. He has been in practice in Pleasanton for over 28 years and is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as California Optometric Association. In addition, he is a charter member of the Contact Lens Section of the AOA. Dr. Liu is active in youth sports and resides in Pleasanton along with his wife Dr. Longacre, and their three children.

Dr. Amy Liu Longacre
Dr. Longacre did her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine in Biology. Following an additional 4 years of graduate study, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree, with Cum Laude Honors, from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1982. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association, and has been practicing in Pleasanton for 28 years along with her husband, Dr. Liu. As the mother of three children, she is well-versed in working with our younger patients.

Dr. Veronica Staples
Dr. Staples received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Four years later, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the same institution in 1991, and has been practicing with Foothill Optometric Group for over 16 years. Born in Guatemala, she is fluent in both Spanish and English. Residing in Dublin, she and her husband are the proud parents of twin boys.

Dr. Andrew Yang
Dr. Yang earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. He continued his education at UC Berkeley, receiving a degree in Vision Science before completing his Doctor of Optometry studies. Dr. Yang is fluent in both English and Mandarin, and has been practicing with Foothill Optometric Group for over 7 years. He and his wife, a middle school teacher, reside in Danville. They have a young daughter, and enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as working with youth ministries.

Dr. Kevin Sjodahl
After graduating from Foothill High School, Dr. Sjodahl went on to California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obisipo for his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry and has now returned home, bringing with him the latest in Optometric training and technology. Dr. Sjodahl and his new bride are actively involved in sports, church and community activities.
